Vintage Pennsbury Pottery Rooster Figurine White Green Base
This delightful rooster from Pennsbury Pottery stands proud. Love the way he is giving a stern eye, sending a message to all others that he is the boss. His feet have detailed markings. He is standing in dark green grass.
Pennsbury Pottery was founded by Henry and Lee Below in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, in 1950. The pottery was named after nearby Pennsbury Manor, the home of William Penn. The business didn't exist for long as the factory was lost in a fire in 1971.
This one appears to be a second as the mark is made twice on the bottom and the glossy finish at the base isn't the same as typical.
