Antique Mantle Clock on Marble Base Bronze and Patina Bronze Louis XVI Style
Magnificent antique Louis XVI style gilded ormolu and white marble mantel clock with a cherub of beautiful patina color holding a torch leaning against the clock. The cherub is accompanied by a bird with outstretched wings. The base is extremely heavy as the marble base is substantial. The clock face is a white with the remnants of the clock maker's name (Adolph Nevir - possibly). The back features a glass covered look thru to see the working of clock. The underside of the base has clock number etched into it.
